Wheelchair Soft Ball gets major boost as Pastor Ighodalo appointed patron
A major boost has been given to the Wheelchair Soft Ball Association of Nigeria by renowned cleric and Pastor of Trinity House Church, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo following his acceptance to serve as the Patron of the Association.
Speaking when he received in audience members of the Wheelchair Softball Association led by the President, Dr Sunday Odior, Pastor Ighodalo expressed deep appreciation and delight to be appointed as Patron of the Association.
He said the reason for his appointment resonates with his service to God, commitment to serve humanity and lift the less privileged.
He assured that he would do everything within his power to ensure the implementation of the programs and activities of the Association.
Pastor Ighodalo affirmed that sports remains a great avenue to lift the physically challenged and nothing was too much or too small to add value and give the players a sense of belonging.
He commended the Ketu- led Board for successfully hosting the officials of the Wheelchair Softball Ball World governing body and the hosting of the three day training program for coaches, players officials.
The Cleric assured that he would always be available to lend his moral, spiritual and financial support to the programs of the Association.
In his remarks, Dr Sunday Odior expressed deep appreciation to Pastor Ighodalo for his passion and commitment towards uplifting the Association and the welfare of the athletes.
He assured that the Association would leverage on Pastor Ighodalo's spiritual guidance and mentorship to encourage the athletes and execute its programmes.
Already Pastor Ighodalo has given immediate approval for the provision of a bus that will convey the players and officials to church every Sunday in order to develop them spiritually and give them a sense of moral value.
Secretary of the Association Owoyele Micheal expressed appreciation to the Cleric for adding value to the athletes. He said like others whose lives the Psstor had impacted they feel elated to be loved and catered for.
Treasurer of the Association, Simon Promise promised to always mobilize the players to attend church programmes in order to grow morally and financially.
