The General Manager/ Technical of Warinji FC, Mallam Adamu Abdullahi said that his team has come into playing in the league to win trophies and to make profit.

The team, which got to the finals of the Bauchi State Federation Cup, losing to Wikki Tourist by a line goal, is going straight into the 2024 New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One with the hope of getting promotion to the Nigeria National League.

According to Adamu Abdulahi, "Warinji FC has been existing before now, we just rebranded the team and brought in experience hands so that we can achieve our goals. We have coach Isa Musa as acting head coach. I am the General Manager and Technical Director.

"We have some young coaches in Bauch who just graduated from NIS, they have done their CAF D licence and we have brought them on board. We want to develop them, just as we want to develop young players," he said.

Abdulahi added that the taget of the management is to play in the NPFL in few years time.

"Our target is to get one of the tickets for NNL and move to NPFL. We want to emulate Remo Stars,, that is why we have started paying salaries at this level.

"We want to work in a profession manner, we want to show others how to run a football club as a business way. We are not just putting our money just just like that, we have a target; groom our players to sell within and outside Nigeria. We are taking out boys to the Middle East by July for tournament after the NLO and we are hoping our boys will be picked. We are out to make profit. We are not here to just play the league, without having good contract with our players and loosing them anyhow to other clubs or dumping such a players. We want to enforce a self impost financial fair play so that we can make profit.

Adamu has a UEFA B coaching licence and has previously coached Green Beret, Zaria, Katsina United. and Wikki Tourist of Bauchi.
