European football brings decisive fixtures across the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 this weekend.

With title races tightening and European places under threat, SuperSport will broadcast all the key action live on DStv and GOtv.

Premier League: Heavyweights Set the Tone

The Premier League weekend opens on Saturday at 1:30 PM as Man United host Spurs at Old Trafford. United are unbeaten in 2026 and sit fourth after edging Fulham 3–2, but Spurs arrive with confidence after holding Man City to a 2–2 draw.

Despite their position,Spurs remain a difficult opponent, with United winless in their last eight meetings.

At 4:00 PM, leaders Arsenal continue their title charge at the Emirates against Sunderland. A 4–0 win at Leeds has opened a six-point gap at the summit. Sunderland come in buoyed by a 3–0 win but face one of the league’s toughest assignments.

Also at 4:00 PM, Chelsea travel to bottom-placed Wolves in a match airing live on SS Action (GOtv Ch. 66, DStv Ch. 206).

The Blues have won three straight league games and are closing on the top four, while Wolves remain under growing pressure after another home defeat.

Saturday’s late fixture at 6:30 PM sees Newcastle host Brentford. Newcastle have slipped into the bottom half following heavy defeats, while Brentford continue to impress and will sense another chance to strengthen their European push.

Sunday begins with the M23 Derby at 3:00 PM as Brighton face Crystal Palace, with both sides separated by just two points and searching for momentum.

The weekend concludes with a blockbuster at Anfield at 5:30 PM, where Liverpool welcome Man City. Liverpool arrive lifted by a long-awaited win, while City, now six points off the top, know another setback would severely dent their title defence.

La Liga: Pressure Mounts at Both Ends

La Liga action begins on Saturday at 4:15 PM as leaders Barcelona host Mallorca. Barça survived a midweek Copa del Rey scare and hold a narrow one-point league lead, while Mallorca arrive after an emphatic win but face a side finding ways to win even under pressure.

At 9:00 PM, Real Sociedad host Elche with European qualification in sight. Sociedad’s recent cup run has boosted confidence, while Elche look to respond after a difficult outing against Barcelona.

Sunday sees Atletico Madrid face Real Betis at 6:30 PM. Atletico arrive fresh from a dominant cup win and remain firmly in third, while Betis look to restore pride after a heavy recent defeat. At 9:00 PM, Real Madrid travel to Valencia aiming to extend a six-game league winning run despite potential absentees.

The round concludes on Monday at 9:00 PM as Villarreal host Espanyol in a crucial top-four battle, with Villarreal holding a significant advantage but wary of Espanyol’s strong season.

La Liga fixtures are live on SS La Liga (DStv Ch. 204, GOtv Ch. 62).

Serie A: Title and Top-Four Tensions Rise

Serie A gets underway on Saturday at 6:00 PM as Napoli visit Genoa. Napoli need the points to consolidate their podium position, while Genoa remain dangerous despite their league standing.

On Sunday at 6:00 PM, leaders Inter travel to Sassuolo, a venue that has often troubled them in the past. Inter hold a five-point lead but face a tricky test against an unpredictable opponent.

Later at 8:45 PM, Juventus host Lazio in a key clash for European places, before Monday’s 8:45 PM meeting between Roma and an in-form Cagliari side closes the round.

Serie A matches will be broadcast live on SS Africa 2 (DStv Ch. 208, GOtv Ch. 64).

Ligue 1: Le Classique Headlines the Round

Ligue 1 action starts on Friday at 8:45 PM as Metz host Lille, with both sides searching for a reset after poor runs.

Saturday features Lens versus Rennes at 5:00 PM, with Lens chasing top spot, before Lyon visit struggling Nantes at 9:05 PM.

Sunday begins with the Côte d’Azur derby at 3:00 PM between Nice and Monaco, before the weekend’s Ligue 1 highlight at 8:45 PM as PSG host Marseille in Le Classique. PSG lead the table and boast a formidable home record, while Marseille know defeat would all but end their title challenge.
