The immediate captain of the Super Eagles, William Troost-Ekong has sends a congratulatory to his former colleagues for winning the third place match against Egypt.
Ekong, who announced his retirement few days before the kick off of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco salutes the team for the achievement and expressed proudness for for coming out with a third place medal.
In a message on his X handle, Ekong who was adjudged the Most Valuable Player in the last edition in Cote d'Ivoire, simply said "Well done! Boys made us proud!"
He accompanied the message with an emoji of the green and white colours of Nigeria.
