Osimhen: I feel bad not playing the World Cup

The reality has finally dawn on Super Eagles and Galatasaray's striker, Victor Osimhen on the failure of Nigeria to make it to the 2026 World Cup.

The Super Eagles missed out to qualify in a group that has South Africa and Benin Republic.

The team had another opportunity through the playoff and after victory over Gabon they lost the last opportunity to DR Congo in a penalty shootout.

Now that the world is gazing at United States, Canada and Mexico, the pain of not among the over 1,200 players has dawn on Nigeria' s biggest star at the moment, Osimhen.

In a quote attributed to him on the social media, the former Napoli striker not only lament the missed opportunity, he also revealed that his fellow colleagues in the national team are gutted missing out in the world showpiece.

“I feel bad not playing the World Cup this is the second time in a roll, I was talking with the other guys and they feel the same way but we move,” Osimhen was quoted as saying.
