Paul Onuachu scored his 15th goal in the Turkish Super Lig to guarantee Trabzonspor a ticket to the UEFA Europa League next season.

Onuachu scored with a header in first half stoppage time at Istanbul Basaksehir to give his club an unassailable six points gap against their closest rivals with only a round of matches to the end to the season.

Trabzonspor now has 64 points from 37 matches, while Basaksehir is on 58 points.

However, it is left to be seen if Southampton loanee, Onuachu will stay put at Trabzonspor after he complained of late payment of his salaries.

Meanwhile, Fisayo Dele Bashiru scored an important goal for Hatayaspor at Besiktas as the team put up a spirited fight to escape relegation this season.

The midfielder thought he had snatched an all-important winner for his club at Besiktas when he hit target in the 55th minute only for the home team to draw level seven minutes into stoppage time from the penalty spot.

It was his seventh goal of the season. Hatayaspor is two points from safety with a round of matches to the end of the season.

Next Sunday, the team will need to win its home game against Rizespor, while hoping Ankaragucu, Konyaspor or Gaziantep doesn’t win.
