Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu has increased his goal haul to 18 after opening scoring in the game against Fatih Karagumruk yesterday. Trabzonspor went on to win by 3-1.
The Nigerian opened scoring in the 20th minute off an assist by Ozan Tufan to score his 18th goal in 21 league games for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Süper Lig season, making him the top scorer in the league as of late February 2026.
He has been in prolific form for the Turkish side, with reports highlighting his 16th, 17th and 18th goals occurring in recent matches.
Onuachu has thus widen the gap with two goals more than his closest rival for the Super Lig top scorer, Eldor Shomurodov, who though has played more matches, has 16 goals to his name.
In the second half, another Nigerian, Chibuike Godfrey Nwaiwu scored two quick goals to give Tranzonspor a 3-1 lead with Onuachu contributing to the third goal with an assist in the 50th minute.
