The Director General (DG) of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Bukola Olapade, has reiterated the Commission's resolve to reform the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and by extension, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The emergence of the duo of Olapade and Malam Shehu Dikko, has within the short period, hold sway at the sports sector transformed sports into a variable venture.

Speaking at the Commonwealth Games hosting right and partnership with Free to Air Broadcast company, What Network, the Director General of the Commission, Hon. Bukola Olapade, said, even if it takes only five teams to participate in the Nigeria Premier League it will enforce the N2m pay for every player in the Nigeria Premier League.

In his own words " Nigerian players go to Bosnia, Benin Republic and are paid $800, which is equivalent to N2m, so if we have only five teams that meet the requirements we will go ahead with the League next season"

According to him, "after reforming the Nigeria Premier League we will reform the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)," he stated.

He further disclosed that, the Commission has finalised all the entitlements, bonuses and allowances of Nigeria senior national female football team, the Super Falcons ahead of it's West African Female Championship in Morocco (WAFCON).

On the issue of the paucity of funds like was experienced in the past, the Chairman of the Sports Commission, Malam Shehu Dikko, informed that the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has directed the Accountant General to give the Commission guarantee to source fund from the private sector and that has been the driving factor of the Commission.
