NNL Super 4: Soname says NNL is organizing the best league he has ever witnessed in Nigeria
President of Remo Stars and Beyond Limits Football Clubs, Hon. Kunle Soname, says he's happy hosting this year's Nigeria National League Super 4 which kicks off today at his facility in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The 2025/2026 NNL Super 4 will see four teams that have already gained promotion to the elite league, namely; Doma Fc, Ranchers Bees and two Lagos sides; Inter Lagos and Sporting Lagos playing a round robin game in the weeklong championship to determine the overall winner of the league
Speaking on the tournament, Soname while welcoming participants to Ikenne, said his hosting of the championship is his own way of contruting to the development of Nigerian football.
" I want to sincerely welcome everyone to Ikenne for this year's Super 4 which I hope will be keenly contested and I promise everyone that they will be treated to the best of hospitality available in our facility.
" My decision to host the tournament is my own little way of contributing to the development of the country's football and I wish all the teams a successful tournament.
Soname, while describing the league as the best organized league he has witnessed in the country, expressed happiness that the transparency saw four privately owned teams promoted to the NPFL.
" I want to say that this is the best organized league I have witnessed in the country. It's a thing of joy that it's transparency led to four privately owned teams gain promotion to the Premier League and this is what we have been advocating for private ownership of clubs in Nigeria and I look forward to more organized league in future", he said.
He commended the managers of the league for a job well done and enjoined the clubs to be disciplined and imbibe the spirit of love and brotherliness in the cause of the matches
