NNL extends mid-season Transfer Window deadline for clubs

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has granted clubs hoping to bolster their squad ahead of the resumption of the second stanza of the 2025-2026 season permission to do so.

To this end the league body has extended the Mid-Season window transfer deadline for registration of additional players.

The NNL Chief Operating Officer, Mr Danlami Alanana disclosing this said the decision was reached after considering the strong appeal by the clubs on the deadline.

" We had to now shift the deadline from Saturday the 31st of January to Friday 6th February 2026 which aligns with the provisions of the governing rules and regulations "

However, Mr. Alanana pointed out that the Open Window transfer allows only clubs with no outstanding debts to NNL in any form to explore the window

The second half of the 2025-2026 NNL season will resume on Saturday February 142026.

Seventeen round of matches both in the four Conferences will hold on the resumption day.
