NFF troubles not yet over despite FIFA clearance 

Behind the optics of world football governing body, FIFA acceptance and clearance for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Normalisation Committee, the crisis rocking the federation is far from over.

This morning, precisely by 11.00am, members of the NFF Congress will be meeting online to take stand against the backdrop of plans by the National Sports Commission (NSC) to allegedly sideline them in the scheme of things.

A very reliable source told www.sportsunlimited.ng that FIFA had insisted the current interim leadership of the NFF call a meeting of the Congress on or before Monday to harmonise the statutes, especially with calls that more interest be included in the planned expanded Congress.

However, state FAs are adamant that the current structure of 37 members must remain while the NSC is allegedly planning to reduce the number and include representatives from the armed forces, the police, players and the media.

This morning's meeting is for the FAs to decide on their stand before the expected meeting.
