NFF staff gripped with fear over alleged fraud alert

There is apprehension within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), following fear that most staff phone may have been bugged by security agencies, aftermath of an impending investigation.
Just recently, after the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations, AFCON hosted by Cote d' Ivoire, all board members of the Federation NFF, including it's President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, were invited by the anti-graft agency ICPC, with a specific instruction to come along with it's International Passports.
After the investigation, some of the board members were found culpable and were ordered to refund to the coffers of the Federal Government substantial amount allegedly paid to them as estacode.
Some of the alleged discrepancies were discovered in some of their International Passports, where some claim to have stayed throughout the duration of the 2024 edition of the 34th Afcon.
Our investigation further revealed that, the security agencies may have also uncovered some of the NFF Chieftains, properties bought in proxy.These properties are said to be scattered in choice areas in Abuja and some other parts of the country.
A very top official of the NFF, who is supposed to superintend the activities of the federation, was equally said to be travelling with his girlfriend to all football competitions and Super Eagles matches in overseas www.Sportsunlimited.com gathered.
At many fora, this official has repeatedly boasted that he has travelled to over 40 countries and that he's not disturbed if he did not return to his position whenever the election into the NFF Board holds in September, as he was also quoted to have said, "it's not a do or die affair for him to return to office, afterall the present chairman of the National sports commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, started contesting the NFF Chairmanship, since 2010 and when it was time, God elevated him to a position higher than the NFF chairman. So God can elevate anybody at His appointed time," he was said to have confided in some of his associates.
