Newcastle to shun Ndidi move

Newcastle United could ditch its transfer plans for Super Eagles Wilfred Ndidi as it’s keeping tabs on another Leicester City midfielder, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ahead of the summer window, the Mirror has claimed.

Leicester City has seen many of its key players linked with moves away ever since the drop from the Premier League last summer. Midfielder Dewsbury-Hall is among those persistently linked with an exit.

The 25-year-old academy graduate has been one of the Championship’s standout players this season. He’s returned 12 goals and 14 assists across all competitions from midfield so far.

Now, a fresh report from the Mirror claimed that the Foxes star is among the midfield targets at Newcastle United ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Magpies was credited with an interest in Ndidi last week and now it is said Dewsbury-Hall is on the radar too. Eddie Howe and co are lining up a handful of possible additions in the middle and look to be casting a wide net.

The Foxes’ financial concerns have been widely covered and player sales will be needed in the early stages of the transfer window. Dewsbury-Hall is one of the more admired assets, so the door could open for him to move on.

Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur are among Dewsbury-Hall’s numerous admirers following a starring campaign in the Championship this season.
