Newly elected President of the Nigeria Sitting Volleyball Federation, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has commended the National Sports Commission (NSC) for ensuring that the recently concluded Para Sports Federation elections were conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

Speaking after his emergence as President, Hon. Isa said the successful election marked the beginning of a new era for sitting volleyball in Nigeria, stressing that it was now time to get to work.

"It is now time for us to hit the ground running. My vision is to take sitting volleyball to the global stage and make Nigeria one of the leading nations in the sport," he said.

The newly elected President expressed gratitude to stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him, noting that the best way to repay their trust is through purposeful leadership and the rapid development of the game across the country.

"I sincerely thank all the stakeholders who elected me. I appreciate the trust they have placed in me, and the only way I can repay that confidence is by ensuring that sitting volleyball becomes more popular across all states of the federation," he added.

Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, who also serves as Special Assistant to the President on People with Disabilities, pledged to work closely with the National Sports Commission and other stakeholders to promote the sport, improve athletes' welfare, and position Nigeria for greater success on the international stage.

He expressed optimism that with unity, strategic planning, and the support of the NSC, sitting volleyball in Nigeria would experience unprecedented growth in the coming years.
