Super Eagles stand-in captain, Wilfred Ndidi has quit newly promoted Leicester City after he reportedly rejected a new contract offer from the Foxes.
According to Football Insider, Ndidi, who spent six and half yeas at the King Power Stadium, is now set to leave Leicestershire after the club failed to improve on his £75,000 gross-per-week salary.
Ndidi, 27-year-old, is poised to remain in the Premier League with Everton among the clubs interested in signing him.
The Toffees are said to have ready an offer for the Nigerian when he becomes a free agent on July 1st.
Ndidi’s contract with Leicester City expires on June 30, and he has rejected a new contract, meaning he will be available to join a new club from next week.
Having made 274 appearances for Leicester in all competitions, Ndidi has been a crucial part of the club’s success. That included its recent promotion campaign from the Championship, during which where he featured 32 times, and scored four goals.
