Morocco 'll be tough but Eagles to win - Monimichelle

Foremost football pitch expert, Ebi Egbe expects tonight's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi final between host Morocco and the Super Eagles to be tough but sees Nigeria coming out victorious.

According to him, Morocco bring structure, discipline, and home advantage into this clash, making them a formidable opponent. However, he believes the Super Eagles still hold a clear edge—built on tournament experience, squad depth, big-game mentality, and superior adaptability to the hybrid natural pitch system being used at this Africa Cup of Nations.

"Nigeria’s players are more accustomed to this surface, which influences ball speed, first touch, and transition play—critical factors at this stage of the competition. Combined with tactical flexibility and mental resilience under pressure, these elements tilt the balance slightly in Nigeria’s favour.

"It will be tight. It will be intense.

But Nigeria have what it takes to edge Morocco and book a place in the final," he said.
