Match-fixing: NLO quashes Warrinje FC claim on Wikki Tourist Feeders FC Vs Adamu Jumba FC

The Nationwide League One (NLO) Disciplinary Committee has quashed Warrinje FC's match-fixing allegation against Wikki Tourist Feeders FC Vs Adamu Jumba FC.

Upon review, the Committee established that Warrinje FC failed to provide any substantial evidence to back up its public allegations of match-fixing.

Consequently, the Committee dismissed the unbacked claims and applied the governing rules of the NLO Disciplinary Code.

The Committee under the NLO Disciplinary codes, imposed appropriate sanctions on Warrinje Football Club. The official match result of 1-2 stands in favour of Wikki Tourist Feeders FC.

A financial penalty of ₦2,000,000 (Two Million Naira only) is imposed on Warrinje Football Club, payable to the NLO Secretariat within seven (7) days of the ruling. The club must publish a formal retraction of the match-fixing allegations in two (2) national daily newspapers.

Warrinje FC is also issued a stern warning to always fully substantiate their claims before going public or reporting to the Nationwide League One administration.

This decision takes immediate effect from the date of this document (19th May 2026).

However, Warrinje FC has the right to appeal this decision to the Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee within 72 hours of receipt of this ruling, in accordance with the NLO Appeals Procedure.
