Players and officials of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Katsina United are groaning over five months salary arrears.

www.sportsunlimited.ng gathered that the players are grumbling but refraining themselves from crying out.
However, their patience appears running over as, according to one of them, they might have to boycott a home game to show their disappointment with the club management.
"We're really not finding things easy here. To the public, things are rosy but you won't believe we've not been paid in the last five months. Yet we're a professional team," one of the players told www.sportsunlimited.ng.
We learnt that the players tried to embark on a strike action twice recently but before they could start the management infiltrated the camp and the action was aborted.
Attempt to get the reaction of the club chairman, Alhaji Surajo Malunfashi were unsuccessful but we understand he personally promised to pay the players before the end of November but he never did.
The players said the coaches and some members of management have working on their psyche to churn out some good results despite no salary
"It is not that they don't have money, if they don't have money, how do they get money to play matches or pay NPFL fines," the source said.
