Katsina Utd coach: Victory over 3SC 'll boost our confidence 

Katsina United on Sunday defeated visiting Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan in the ongoing Nigeria Premier League.

And the Technical Adviser of the home side, Mohammed Abdulazeez heaved a sigh of relief on the victory.

Coach Abdulazeez, speaking after game, said it was soothing victory considering the two previous disappointments for the home fans.

He added that the win would cool the tension pervading the camp, as the players will now regain their confidence in subsequent matches.

"It was a difficult game, especially after having two previous disappointing home matches. You can't have such disappointment and not get tensed up but we thank God we were able to overcome the tension from the two previous home disappointment.

"The boys showed resilience and determination, which is a very good thing. It's not about the number of goal but the three points. We will continue working until we get everything done this season. We have just seven matches to go, so we need to work extra hard so that we maintain a very good position," he said.

On their next away match against Barau FC of Kano, Abdulazeez said noting special as they are going to approach the match same they are used to.

"The boys know what is at stake, Kano is not an unfamiliar ground to us, we played some of our home matches there. I'm positive we can get a positive result in Kano; we just pray for a level playing ground."
