Kada Kings outshine Kada Stars to win President Beach Volleyball

Kada Kings on Saturday emerged champions of the 5th edition of the President Beach Volleyball competition beating rivals, Kada Stars to the men's title at the Ahmadu Bello Stadiim, Kaduna Beach Volleyball Court.
Kada Kings thus retained their title in a highly contested final.
In the girls under 17, Kada Princess came third and went home with N100,00.
Bro Spikers of Kogi came second and went with N150,000 with Flourish Academy netting N250,000 for finishing first.
President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Eng Musa Nimrod said it was a successful tournament, stressing that it helped the female team going for the Olympic qualifiers in Morocco to prepare.
"These Presidential Beach Volleyball tournament has helped to prepare our girls for the Olympic qualifiers taking place between June 12 to 24 in Morocco.
"We saw a lot of talents for both the boys and girls national team and I must tell you this tournament lived up to it billing," Nimrod said.
He added "with the form of the players, especially from the girls going for Olympic qualifiers, I can tell you that we will pick the ticket for Paris by the grace of God," said.
Eng Nimrod called on the players to continue to work hard so they can get clubs abroad and become professionals
Also speaking, Commissioner for Sports Development, Kaduna State, Benjamin Kumai Gugong commended the president of the volleyball federation on his commitment to the development of beach soçcer.
"Engineer Nimrod has always ensured the sport does not lack. I can tell you he's one of the most committed federation president around."
Hon Benjamin also heap praises on the players for their commitment, the impartial referees were also not left out of the praises. "There was hardly any wrong calls from the referees, the players were not disappointed with the officiate. I want to imagine where will all these young boys and girls be if they were not playing beach soçcer. The drug world would have taken them. I want to promise,as long as I remain the commissioner, 70% of my attention and support will be for Beach Volleyball."
The youngest player of the tournament, Success Peters of Dolphin of Kaduna, a Primary 5 student, got two balls and a canvass as gift from the commissioner and president of the volleyball Eng Nimrod.
