Juventus eyeing move for Boniface

Italian giant, Juventus is reportedly eyeing a move for Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface as it prepares for potential departures in its forward line ahead of the summer transfer window.

Boniface, who enjoyed a stellar season with Bayer Leverkusen, clinching both the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal in his debut campaign in Germany, has caught the attention of Juventus with his impressive performances.

The 23-year-old's remarkable season, which saw him score 21 goals and provide 10 assists across all competitions under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso at Bayern Leverkusen, has drawn interest from several top European clubs.

Citing Tuttosport, Belgian outlet Voetbalnieuws reported Juventus sees Boniface as a potential addition to rejuvenate its attacking options, especially if current forwards Moise Kean or Arkadiusz Milik depart during the upcoming transfer window.

The Old Lady is keen to inject fresh talent into the squad to reignite the pursuit of domestic and European success, and Boniface's blend of youth, skill, and goal-scoring prowess fits the bill for their ambitions.

The potential transfer is also influenced by the uncertain future of Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has been linked with a move away from Juventus.

Vlahovic's departure could further pave the way for Boniface's arrival in Turin.

Boniface featured for Nigeria in their recent 2-1 defeat to the Republic of Benin.

Despite his cameo appearance off the bench, Boniface was unable to prevent Nigeria from suffering a surprise loss to their West African rivals.
