Iheanacho rejected Stuttgart lucrative for Sevilla move

www.Sportsunlimited.ng can inform that Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho turned down a more lucrative proposal on the table from German Bundesliga side Stuttgart, in favour of a move to the Spanish La Liga.

Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta believes that his attempts to convince the Nigerian to lean towards a journey in Nervión made the move successful.

As reported by Marca, Kelechi Iheanacho arrived in Spain on Tuesday night to complete his move. Negotiations between the club and striker have been underway for days and neared a positive conclusion.

The Nigerian is currently a free agent, after finishing his contract at Leicester City. The 27-year-old has represented Leicester and Manchester City in the Premier League, scoring 42 goals and notching 25 assists in 196 appearances.

Iheanacho agreed to a two-year contract, with the option for one more.
