The new waves of fresh and positive air billowing the Nigeria sports ecosystem has continued to attract encouraging remarks from stakeholders, investors and enthusiasts in the sports community.

In what many has described as a new dawn for sports and athletes development and growth, Nigeria has seemingly regained his gait and prowess as a leading sports nation on the continental and global stages.

Foremost Nigerian sports activist and promoter, Chief Diprieye Thompson has joined the fray by lavishing untold praises on the leadership of the National Sports Commission led by the duo of Mallam Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olopade, as the Chairman and Director-General respectively.

According to Thompson, who is the National Coordinator of Friends Of Nigeria Sports (FNS), the leadership of the NSC, has given a new fillip and belief to Nigerian athletes, that they now compete favourably against other nations with a winner's mindset.

"I'm particularly impressed by the commitment, discipline and dynamism being displayed by the duo of Mallam Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olopade.

"Our junior, intermediate and senior athletes in virtually all sports aren't just competing, but doing so, proudly, and with a winning mentality.

"Another big plus is that these gentlemen are committed to using sports to help actualise the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu," the obviously impressed sports promoter added.

He went ahead to admonish well placed individuals and private organisations to support the several life-changing initiatives of the government, through the NSC, to help engender a better Nigerian society.
