GRASOF announces record-breaking participation in Pastor Umo Eno Cup

The 5th Pastor Umo Eno Easter Unity Cup, organized by Grassroots Sports Federation (GRASOF), is set to make history with 64 teams confirmed from across the district and beyond.

Building on the success of previous editions, this year's tournament promises to be the biggest yet.

GRASOF, committed to discovering and nurturing young talent, has been working tirelessly to create a platform for youth engagement and sports development.

The Pastor Umo Eno Easter Unity Cup has become a beacon of hope for aspiring athletes, providing opportunities for exposure and growth.

"We're thrilled to see such an overwhelming response," said Comrade Ita Peters Chairman GRASOF.

"Our aim is to promote grassroots sports, and with the support of His Excellency Governor Pastor Umo Eno PhD and the Commissioner for Sports, we're achieving just that."

Coach Idongesit Udofia, Organizing Secretary, GRASOF, added, "We have designated six centers across the state for this year's event, ensuring a smooth and exciting tournament experience for all participants and spectators."

The opening ceremony takes place on Monday 30 at Uyo Township Stadium with exciting matches scheduled to follow.

Several talented teams and players are expected to make a mark, including top contenders from previous editions.
