The management of El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, has held a crucial meeting to address key issues affecting the club.
According to the club's media officer, the meeting took place at the Colonel Abdulmumin Aminu Camp, opposite Lale Guest Inn Maiduguri Borno State.
Speaking during the session, the Chairman of the club, Hon. Comrade Ibrahim Mainu Mustapha, explained that the meeting was convened to review the team’s performance so far and to find lasting solutions to existing challenges.
“We called this meeting to discuss and review the performance of the team and to find a lasting solution to the problems. We have challenges in terms of performance.
"The government is doing its best and expects good results from us. There is a need for the technical crew to come up with ideas that will give us good results and make everyone happy. We know our fans are furious at the moment, and we sincerely apologize for previous results".
The management also deliberated on matters of discipline within the team. According to the Chairman, no player is bigger than the club.
“It is a privilege to find yourself in this darling team. We will no longer tolerate any form of indiscipline. We have a code of conduct that guides the dos and don’ts in our team, and everyone must abide by it".
The meeting also reviewed last week’s incident that occurred during the team’s return trip, with appropriate actions already taken.
Meanwhile, the Babagana Umara Zulum Boys will travel to Minna this week to face the Bago Boys in Matchday 17 of the NPFL. The technical crew and players have intensified training, and the squad is fully committed to securing a positive result on the road.
