Edo FA unveils new website on players data

...As state league kicks off next week.

Edo State Football Association (EDSFA), on Thursday June 20, 2024, unveiled a new website for Edo State Football Association.
The unveiling, which held at the Press Hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City attracted members of Edo State FA board, representatives of the 28 clubs expected to participate in the state league and various football stakeholders in the State.

Declaring the event open, Chairman of the FA, Fred Newton Erhunmwunse, thanked Edo State football family for the supports given him and members of the FA board, stressing that Edo State Football Association under his leadership would continue to focus on laudable programmes that will help bring out the best in our youths.
According to him: "First and foremost I want appreciate every football stakeholders in Edo State for making this unique programme a huge success, particularly Royal MVP International for coming into partnership with Edo State FA. We want to progress in Edo State, we want to see players in Edo make waves, we want to market players, we want them to be bread winnings of their various families and we want to change the face of football in Edo State"

"You see that we are going digital in Edo State FA, we just unveiled a website for the association for data base of all Edo State clubs are affiliated with us. This is to enable easy access to the data base of players. We are very happy with this innovation and we will continue to.embark on projects that will better the lives of our young players in Edo State. We are highly committed to promoting our local players to ensure they excel.in their football careers."

Meanwhile, sports director of Royal MVP International, pastor Moses Vasillis, said Royal MVP International is delighted to partner with Edo State FA, adding that the company is totally committed to.boosting sports in Edo via youth empowerment.

"As home of football, what we are doing as partner is to see how we can revamp the system of football here to take it's rightful position in the annals of Nigeria football. Is very important that this partnership is coming at this very time when we have a vibrant FA board that is ready to change the face of football in Edo. It about discovery of new football stars that are capacity of turning things around. We are working towards raising stars that will represent us in.local, continental and international competitions."

"Again we are already working towards bring organizing a football scout competitions were foreign scouts will come, with two.national.coaches, and other international experts in football.that will come and give talks on football and youth development. We have have some notable football.Academies that we are partnering with in Europe to foster football development in Edo State."

Also the State football league is expected to commence soon as draws were held today. A total of 28 football clubs across the State registered for the league. Rules and regulations were guiding the competition was read to the participating teams and their administrators."
