The unending litigation that has horded the growth and development of Nigeria football may have come to an end with the resolve of the gladiators agreeing to withdraw all matters in court.

In a meeting which lasted for more than three hours on Wednesday, with the chairman, National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko, and the aggrieved party, the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN).
PFAN had in 2022 instituted a lawsuit at a Federal High Court, Abuja seeking the court to annulled the September 30, 2022, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) elective Congress in Benin City, the State.
The players' union had complained about the manner in which the NFF was constituted, thereby depriving majority of the stakeholders and members of the NFF from having a say or contributing to the development of football in Nigeria.
Among their demand is for NFF to amend the 2010 Statutes and enlarged the Executive of the board to include the players union.
Harrison Jalla, chairman of PFAN Task Force highlighted, some of the resolution at the meeting, "we have resolved to suspend the matters pending in court.
"The chairman of the sports commission has intervened and the legal department of the commission will approach the court to step down the matter pending the amicable resolution of all parties including the sports commission who are also joined in the suit"
" We're only asking for equatable representation on the NFF board, and we have been assured that some amendment we'll be made"
Other members of the Task Force of the PFAN at the meeting where Chief Rumson Baribote and Tijani Babangida.
