Oluwatosin Emmanuel Adeshina, popularly known as ‘Destiny Boy,’ has set his sights on occupying the number one spot in the Super-Bantamweight category in Nigeria after defeating his opponent Abdullahi Adeyemo by a unanimous decision of three judges after six rounds of action at Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos Island, Lagos, on Sunday.

Destiny Boy dropped Abdullahi in round six with a powerful left hook after dominating all six rounds in the national Super-Bantamweight boxing challenge held on the card of a boxing show De-Lad's Boxing Promotions tagged ‘The Battle of Ages,’ sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control.

Destiny Boy, who has seven fights, five wins, one tie, and one defeat and is now ranked sixth out of 28 in Nigeria and 369 out of 1,452 globally, stated after the fight that his goal now is to be the number one fighter in Nigeria's Super-Bantamweight division.

Asked if he understands the gravity of his proclamation, the Oyo State-born boxer said he does. He said though the claim is a huge one to make, he has the ability and determination to match it.

Also speaking, Destiny Boy's manager, Tijani Taofeek Adedamola, CEO of FIRO Entertainment House and FIRO Boxing Promotions, stated that he is willing to go to any length to assist Adeshina's ambitions because he saw enormous potential in him before signing him.

"I signed Destiny Boy when he only had one draw and one loss, but I saw in him the potential to be a future great boxer, and here we are with five straight wins and two TKOs since he joined FIRO Boxing Promotions," Adedamola told the media after the fight.

He expressed his unwavering belief in Destiny Boy's talent and dedication, emphasizing that such raw potential could only flourish with the right guidance and support. "This is just the beginning," the FIRO boss continued, "and I am committed to nurturing his skills as he climbs the ranks."
