Struggling Rangers forward, Cyriel Dessers' purported January transfer to French side, Saint-Etienne might not materialised afterall.

Rangers have made it clear they need to slash the Ibrox budget - but offloading some of their fringe men may be a tough task this month.

And Dessers is one of players on offer to ease the club's financial burden.

Saint-Etienne, sports unlimited.ng gathered has been linked with a move for struggling forward Cyriel Dessers.

But French outlet Sport suggest that the club is not interested in reaching Rangers' asking price for the frontman - which is claimed to be in the region of £4million - unless they can offload players to fund a deal.
