Two years after it was unceremoniously relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL), Gombe based Doma United will be making a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.
The team becomes the first in the NNL this season to secure promotion even with the season still to end.
Doma United who were relegated from NPFL two years ago secured 26 points from 13 matches in Conference C of the NNL, scoring 17 goals and conceded 8.
The team recorded one away win, seven home wins, and two away draws, with three away loses to earned their second call up to the Nigeria elite league
While Doma United is already sure of playing in the NPFL next season, their brother club, Gombe United are not sure of returning to the NPFL.
Doma United were relegated from NPFL in the 2023/24 season alongside Gombe United.
