With just 11 days to the start of the 3rd National Para Games Abuja 2026, excitement is building as Para Athletics takes center stage with a total of 17 medal events confirmed for competition at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

The Para Athletics events have been carefully structured across multiple classifications to ensure fair and inclusive competition for athletes with varying impairments.

The field events will feature F57 Discus and F57 Javelin, alongside combined classification events such as F53/54/55/56 Shot Put and Discus. Athletes in the F42-44/61-64 classes will compete in both Javelin and Discus, while additional Shot Put events will take place in the F46/47, F11/12/13, F37/38, and F40/41 categories.

On the track, athletes will compete in a range of sprint and middle-distance events, including the T11/12/13 200m, T53/54 100m, and T53/54 1500m races. The program also includes T37/38 200m, as well as T46/47 100m and 200m events, all of which are expected to deliver thrilling and closely contested races.

Completing the lineup is the T46/47 Long Jump, which adds a dynamic element to the competition by showcasing agility, speed, and technical precision.

Together, these 17 events span throwing, sprinting, middle-distance racing, and jumping disciplines, reflecting the depth and diversity of Para Athletics.
