Semi Ajayi relishes Man of the Match award

Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi is relishing being named the Man of the Match in the victory over Tanzania at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Ajayi, whose first half goal for the Süper Eagles in the game was his second for Nigeria, said "it was an amazing feeling. It's always an amazing feeling to score for your country.
He added that it was important the team wins the first game, stressing "in such a game like this to get us off to a really good start. I was really, really pleased. It shows that we're one team, we can't only rely on the attackers to get goals."
"I think we need to get goals from all over the team. The defenders and midfielders, everyone needs to chip in if we want to do well in the tournament and I'm glad we got off to a good start," he said.
Ajayi admitted that the team still needs to improve on some departments."There are a few things that we could iron out and improve. There are also a lot of positives that we could take from the game as well."But like I said, we're definitely aware of the things that we need to do better in terms of seeing out the game and also killing teams off."And we'll be working really, really hard on the training filter to put that right," he stated.
