Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Vice President and President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Chief Tonobok Okowa, alongside fellow athletics federation presidents and officials from across Africa, arrived in Cameroon to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late CAA President, Mr. Hamad Kalkaba Malboum.
The delegation visited the residence of the late African sports administrator to offer their sympathies and stand in solidarity with the family during this difficult moment. The visit reflects the deep respect and admiration the African athletics community had for the late CAA President, whose leadership and contributions greatly impacted the development of athletics across the continent.
Chief Okowa described the late Hamad Kalkaba Malboum as a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the growth and unity of African sports, noting that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. The delegation also prayed for strength and comfort for the family he left behind.
