The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Sports Development, Harrison Ocholor has been appointed as the Delta State Liason Secretary ahead of the 2nd edition of the Niger Delta Games 2026 to be hosted by Edo State.
The veteran broadcaster popularly known as the "Sports Machine", will be responsible for coordinating all activities of the Niger Delta Games within the state.
Mr. Harrison Ocholor thanked Dunamis Icon Limited for the opportunity to serve and for finding him worthy of the position.
"I'm super excited, it came to me as a surprise, I want to specially thank the Chairman of Dunamis Icon Ltd, Sir. Itiako Ikpokpo for this appointment, they know my capacity and capabilities, especially in grassroot Sports and talent development, I also want to thank NDDC and the Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee (MOC), Hon. Boma Iyaye and everyone involved in the 2nd Niger Delta Games 2026.
"My job is also to ensure the state is well represented, to ensure the state produces talents, and to see that all activities and processes that will ensure a hitch free competition are adhered to.
"The Niger Delta Games is the foundation, it's the grooming ground for young athletes and future champions for Nigeria within the Niger Delta region. I will work closely with the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission and his team to ensure a successful competition".
