In its effort to make a good defense of the NPFL title won in the ended season and make an appreciable impact in the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League, the management of Rangers International of Enugu has gotten former Niger Tornadoes and Lobi Stars safest per of hands, Lucky Jimoh Abdullahi.

The goalkeeper, who put pen to paper on Tuesday at the ‘Flying Antelopes’ corporate office, inked a two-year deal to challenge for the ‘numero un’ position as the Coal City side challenge on all fronts in the coming season.

A highly elated Lucky, after signing the dotted lines in Enugu, said, “This is another great leap in my career and I hope to bring in my best at all times to ensure that Rangers successfully defend the league title and go as far as the final match in the continentals. I am delighted with this big opportunity.”

Meanwhile, the league defending champion, Rangers International kick-started the 2024/2025 season on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, inside the main bowl of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium under the guide of coach Fidelis Ilechukwu and his lieutenants as he introduced coach Godwin Nosike as one of the new hands in the coaching team.

Most of the gladiators retained for the new season could not meet up with the day’s programme but are expected to hit camp later in the day for Thursday, July 11, 2024 sessions.

Rangers have succeeded in getting the services of such names as Garando Tekena, Ekeson Okorie, Anayor Ogbonna, Chimobi Igwilo, Somtochukwu Nwobodo, Evans Ogbonda, Ernest Governor, and Hillary Ekawu while efforts are on to get a few others from the West African sub-region before the close of the window for registration.
