The protest took place few hours to their NPFL match on Monday.
The players reportedly prevented the team bus from moving to the stadium for their NPFL Matchday 16 clash against Bendel Insurance at Yekini Rashidi Mainbowl in Ilorin, insisting that they had not been paid since the season began.
It would be recalled that Katsina United were recently sanctioned and ordered to play at a neutral ground following breaches of the NPFL framework in their match against Barau FC, where an opponent player was attacked.
The aggrieved players initially blocked the team bus, forcing officials to convey the remaining players to the stadium in another vehicle.

Speaking during the protest, one of the players, John Enaholo, said none of the newly signed players had received any payment.
“All of us — the 22 new players — have not received salaries for the past five months. It’s unfortunate. We have complained repeatedly, but nothing has been done,” he said.
