Ikorodu City secures mouthwatering deal with Guinness Nigeria

Sponsorship deals for football and other sports have been likened to a camel passing through the needle eyes.

However, there is a refreshing breath of fresh air billowing in the Nigerian football ecosystem and it is from the surprise package of last season's NPFL side Ikorodu City.

The club came fourth on the league table and narrowly missed out on the continent, but the management of the team, led by the youthful, but resourceful Sanmi Doherty, are not about to miss out on the economic opportunities that lays bare for well structured professional football clubs.

Late in the week, the fast-growing Lagos based NPFL side secured a mouth-watering and groundbreaking multimillion naira sponsorship deal with Guinness Nigeria.

Guinness Nigeria returns big to Nigerian football after a 12 years hiatus and of course, with the darling team of Lagos football fans.
