Gawuna felicitate Muslims on Eid el- fitr, wishes Christians happy Easter in advance
President of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has facilitated with Muslims in Nigeria as they join millions of Muslim faithfuls all over the world to mark this year's end of Ramadan.
Eid el-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan which has exposed all Muslims to a period of fasting, prayer, reflection and spiritual growth.
In a congratulatory message he personally signed, Gawuna, a former Deputy Governor of Kano State who also doubles as the Chairman of Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Sports Federation of Nigeria, charged Muslims to be sober in their celebration and live peacefully with their neighbours.
"As we celebrate another Eid el- fitr, I urge all to use this occasion to strengthen the bonds of love, tolerance, friendship and understanding among our people and unite to work towards building a more secure, peaceful and prosperous country.
On behalf of my family, I wish you all a memorable Eid filled with love, charity and peace", said the statement.
In a related development Alhaji Gawuna has also sent a goodwill message to Christian faithfuls who will be marking Easter celebration on April 5.
He noted that the fact that the two religions observed their fasts the same period is an indication that they're one even as he enjoined them to use the period of the celebration to ask for God mercy on the land.
