Ex Flying Eagles captain, Daga to spend 6 months in jail
Nigeria U-20 Flying Eagles captain, Daniel Daga has been sentenced to six months in prison in Norway after being found guilty of committing a non-consensual sexual act.
The midfielder’s lawyer has confirmed they will appeal the verdict, insisting that Daga maintains the encounter was consensual.
His club, Molde FK, released a statement saying they are aware of the ruling and that the player will not participate in matches for the time being.
The case is expected to continue through the appeal process.
