The Pillar of Nigerian Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, has warmly congratulated the Super Eagles on their emphatic 2–0 victory over Algeria, which has secured Nigeria a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
Chief Agu-Ejidike described the performance as vintage Super Eagles football, applauding the team’s confidence, composure and tactical discipline, which saw them dominate proceedings and pin the Desert Foxes in their own half for most of the encounter.
The Anambra-born sports philanthropist noted with pride that the team rose above distractions and off-field incidents, displaying mental strength, unity of purpose and hunger befitting true champions.
According to the Patron of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club, the Super Eagles have convincingly shown that they possess the quality, depth and character required to lift Nigeria’s fourth AFCON title.
He urged the players and technical crew to remain focused and consistent, stressing that with the same intensity, belief and teamwork, the road to continental glory is well within reach.
