ANFASSC welcomes Iyaloja General of Nigeria as new Matron

The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has taken a historic step by unveiling Alhaja Muijdat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, as its new Matron.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Iyaloja General expressed her heartfelt commitment to the success of Nigerian Sport, particularly the national teams. She gave her blessings to the Super Eagles, as they continue their campaign for a place at the next FIFA World Cup, and the supporters club. She urges for unity, dedication, and unflinching support for their crucial qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo, followed closely by another high-profile encounter with South Africa.

Her words underscored her passion for sports development and the role of collective support in lifting Nigerian athletes to greater heights. According to her, football is not only a unifying force but also a tool that showcases the spirit, resilience, and strength of Nigeria to the rest of the world.

Adding a spiritual touch to the event, Shaikh Abubakir Issa Baba Solaty (Ote), popularly known as the Authentic Alfa, offered prayers for the success of the Super Eagles, blessing both the team and the leadership of ANFASSC. His prayers highlighted the importance of faith, unity, and positive energy in ensuring victory for Nigeria on and off the pitch.

President Ogunjimi expressed his gratitude to the Iyaloja General for accepting the role, describing her as a “mother figure whose influence, passion, and commitment will serve as a source of encouragement to both the club and Nigerian Sport at large.” He further assured Nigerians that ANFASSC remains steadfast in its mission to champion the supporters’ culture, stand as the twelfth man behind the Super Eagles, and promote Nigerian sports with pride and authenticity.
