Akpom Former Middleborough striker, Chuba Akpom could return to England after the season as his stay in Holland is no longer needed
According to reports in Holland, Akpom has been told that he can leave the Amsterdam outfit, Ajax with the Dutch giant having one of its worst seasons on record. Currently sat fifth in the table, Ajax is in a mini-crisis and only recent form has shunted them up the table; a somewhat impressive feat given that they were bottom of the table at the end of October.
Whether Akpom returns to the English scene is so far unknown, though with Premier League clubs reportedly interested despite his lack of top-flight experience it's tough to say that he could end up in the Championship following his exploits last time out.
