The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah has announced Ghana's readiness to utilize the multimillion dollars sports facilities used in the 13th African Games for Sports University and Ghana.

Ghana hosted the African Games with state-of-the-art University Stadium, Borteyman Sports Complex, renovated Cape Coast Stadium and a world class Cricket Ovals at Achimota Secondary School.

About $245 million is reported to have been spent in putting up these modern sports facilities and hosting of the 13th African Games. Although certain the success of the Games was greeted by South Africa hockey team backing out due to "danger prone" playing ground.

In a bid to prove oppositions and crictics, the President propose the facility impact Sportsing education and national sports hosting to turn out more laurels for Ghana.

Ghana finished the 13th African Games on 6th position with 19 golds. Over 5000 athletes from 54 countries participated in 29 sporting events.

Chairperson of African Union Commission, H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat commend Ghana government for "massive investment in sporting facilities and infrastructure presentation to host 13th Edition of African Games, Accra 2023."
