Yusuf hopeful of Jigawa Stars' promotion

Jigawa Golden Stars' defender, Manassseh Ayelo Yusuf said he has not giving up the hope of helping to push team back to the Premier League.

Speaking after the club's training session Thursday, Yusuf said although the club missed some opportunities of staying at the top with some home draws and a loss, he believes with the type of players and the coach they have, they could spring surprises towards the tail end of the league.

Yusuf, who's favourite player in the world is Marcelo, said he admires Simon Moses in the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

On the toughest match this season, Yusuf said it was the friendly match against Kano Pillars at the pre-season friendly,while his best match these season was against Kebbi United.

The 6ft left back said playing for the national team is his long time dream.
