Warri Wolves part ways with Yarhere, 11 others 

In a bid to minimize burden and to enhance productivity, the Management of Warri Wolves have parted ways with 43 year old Efe Yarhere and 11 others.

Our source who has been monitoring events since they resumed from the  Christmas and new year break disclosed that apart from Efe, goalkeeper Ospino Egbe and Eremosele Joshua Zibiri are among those asked to look elsewhere to ply their trade. 

The source who was at their NPA training ground in the last few days noticed the absence of these players and revealed that attempt is being made to beef up the team with about three or four players.

As for Efe Yarhere, he has paid his dues and the next thing to think of the what to do apart from active football with age no longer on his side. 

Apart from Warri Wolves, Efe has also played for Elkanemi Warriors and other club since he ventured into professional football in Nigeria. He won many laurels with Warri Wolves and happened to be the last man standing among his generation which includes Goodluck Onamado, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Ossai Ossai, Gbolahan Salami.

Reacting to his sack, Efe expressed shock and lack of respect on the side of management.

“I wanted to wait till the end of the season to announce my exit and be pulled out In a special way in view of what I have done for the club but they chose to do it this way. I have taken it in good faith and will now focus on my next plan which will commence soon. I am still very strong despite the fact that I am 43 years old. I play better than the younger ones and I have the experience but life goes on.

Pressured to disclose his plan, Efe revealed that he wants to embark on a coaching course and see how it goes.

Meanwhile, Warri Wolves which finished in the 13th position on the log at the end of the first half have intensified their training and will play their first match next week..

However, the choice of the venue for the second stanza remains a secret whether they will continue in Ozoro which seems like an away ground or will move to Asaba.
