W’ Cup qualifier: On his birthday, Ekong leads 2 others to open Eagles camp

Birthday boy, captain William Troost-Ekong and two others, Amas Obasogie and Bruno Onyemaechi as the early birds as the Super Eagles camp officially open today in Uyo.
The team is preparing for the last leg of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa
The team has a must-win ties, starting with Saturday’s clash with Rwanda before travelling to battle Bafana Bafana in another crucial clash three days later.

The Super Eagles are in a precarious fourth position in their qualifying Group C with seven points, six points behind South Africa, who lead the group with 13 points.

Meanwhile, the Rwanda delegation is expected to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday afternoon.
