The Nigeria born Canadian international, Tani Oluwaseyi has completed a permanent transfer from Minnesota United to Villarreal, his new club announced Friday.

The Nigeria born Canadian international, Tani Oluwaseyi has completed a permanent transfer from Minnesota United to Villarreal, his new club announced Friday.
The 25 years old Canadian goal scorer, Oluwaseyi was in the midst of having a career-best MLS season, with 12 goals and eight assists across all competitions,the best season of his career with 10 goals and seven assists across 24 appearances (21 starts) with Minnesota United.
Tani Oluwaseyi sold for $7.5 million with up to $3.5 million in add ons. Meaning the total transfer could hit $11 million for Minnesota United in a five years contract till June 39, 2030

According to some analyst he might have a tough time trying to secure regular playing time at Villarreal, though, and he's not expected to have a ton of fantasy upside.
When his father, Mr Debo Oluseyi was asked why he allowed his son to play for Canada, he said, "First of all I couldn’t have even if I wanted to. He has a mind of his own. Secondly, he in fact would have preferred to play for Nigeria if he had the opportunity first."
Tani, second in a family of three children, he has an older sister, Tami and a young brother, Tife.
Tani, who's idol is Thierry Henry, says he wants to be one of the best in the world.
Seyi will also have opportunity to play in the Champions League for the Yellow Submarines
