Team Nigeria Armwrestling grabs two gold, four bronze medals

Team Nigeria Armwrestling squad after just Day One of competition has won two gold medals and four bronze medals.

Mausi Zannu won the first ever gold medal in the history of Nigerian Arm wrestling at the African Games, when she grabbed gold in the
55kg left hand Senior Women.

Team Nigeria's second gold medal was won by Sarah Mathew when she defeated her opponent from Ghana to grab gold medal in the women's 70 kg women left hand.

The bronze medals were won by Winifred Ndidi in the women's 80kg left hand.

Idowu Abiodu Yunusa won another bronze in the men 65kg left hand, while Blessing Ogungbure won another bronze in women's 70 kg left hand. National and African champion, Isamah Samuel, also won Bronze in Men 75kg Left Hand.
