Osimhen returns from Paris, doubtful for final Serie A match

After hitting Paris with his family on a private jet to spend his two-day off, Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, who arrived on Sunday evening, is in the race to be fit for his last Serie A game next Sunday before saying his final goodbye to Napoli fans.

As Napoli prepares to take on Lecce at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the final game of the Italian Serie A season, news emerged from yesterday’s training session on the conditions and recovery time of the Nigerian.

At the Konami Training Center in Castel Volturno, Francesco Calzona's Napoli worked on pitch 1 ahead the final match against Luca Gotti's Lecce, valid for the 38th and final day of the 2023/24 Serie A.

The official report of the Italian club clarifies the state of health of the players still in the pits, with the Neapolitan coach hoping to have at least Osimhen available again.

"Mario Rui and Zielinski carried out personalized work on the pitch while Osimhen carried out personalized work in gym. Ngonge did not train due to a flu syndrome. Gollini carried out half the session in the group and half personalized work on the pitch.”
