Osimhen ‘likely’ to join PSG, not Arsenal

A new twist has been added to the recurring rumour surrounding the next club Nigeria international and Napoli goal poacher, Victor Osimhen will play for next season.
Early on Tuesday, report emerged that the striker already disclosed his possible new team with his agent, Roberto Calenda without revealing the likely destination.
But latest report uncovered by www.sportsunlimited.ng may have put finality to the next team the Africa Footballer of the Year will join in the coming months.
According to the agent representing Thiago Motta, Dario Canovi, he claims he knows who Arsenal, Chelsea and PSG target Victor Osimhen will choose when leaving Napoli.
Canovi says the Nigeria international and former Lille hitman is returning to Ligue 1 rather than the Premier League.

“In my view, it is very likely he will play for Paris Saint-Germain,” Canovi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“It would be the smartest signing to replace Kylian Mbappé, who has been a Real Madrid player for months and it’s a farce that they are trying to avoid telling us.”
Osimhen has a release clause in his new contract with Napoli, which is believed to be set at around €130m, after winning the Scudetto last season.
While Chelsea and Arsenal would also be in a financial position to pay that kind of fee, Paris Saint-Germain has for some time known that Mbappé would walk away as a free agent towards Real Madrid.
The Parisians have therefore been planning a huge swoop on the transfer market to make up for that painful exit and Osimhen would fit the bill.
